DATA PROTECTION

PRIVACY POLICY
Each One Teach One (EOTO) e.V. takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know when we collect which data and how we use them. 1.

1. PERSONAL DATA
Personal data is individual information about personal and factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, postal address, telephone number. Information that is not associated with your identity (such as the number of users of the website) is not included. As a rule, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. We store your data on specially protected servers in Germany. Access to these servers is only possible for a few specially authorised persons who are involved in the technical, commercial or editorial maintenance of the servers. In connection with your access, data will be stored on our servers for a short period of time for security purposes, which could possibly permit identification (for example IP address, date, time and pages viewed). The IP address is then anonymised. It is not used to identify the user and neither directly personal nor pseudonymised user profiles are created. We reserve the right to statistically evaluate anonymised data records.

2. NEWSLETTER
If you have expressly agreed, we will use your e-mail address to send you our newsletter on a regular basis. To receive the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide an e-mail address. You can unsubscribe at any time, for example via a link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can send your unsubscription request at any time by e-mail to pr@eoto-archiv.de.

3. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
We use your personal information (e.g. name, address or e-mail address) in case of a newsletter subscription only within EOTO e.V. It is your free decision whether you enter these data. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent.

4. WEB STATISTICS
We use the open source software Matomo for analysis and statistical evaluation of the use of the website. Data is collected and stored for the purpose of optimising the website. Cookies are used for this (see 5. Use of cookies). The information generated by cookies about the use of the website is transferred to our servers and summarized in pseudonymous user profiles. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website and to enable a demand-oriented design of our website. The information is not passed on to third parties. Under no circumstances is the IP address associated with other data relating to the user. The IP addresses are made anonymous, so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking). (Your visit to this website is currently recorded by Matomo web analysis. (Click here https://matamo.org/ docs/privacy/ so that your visit is no longer recorded)

5. USE OF COOKIES
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are automatically created by your browser and stored locally in the cache of the visitor’s Internet browser when you visit our site. The cookies enable the recognition of the Internet browser. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device, do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. Information is stored in the cookie that is related to the specific terminal device used. This does not mean, however, that we obtain direct knowledge of your identity. We use cookies to record the use of our website statistically and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our offer for you (see section 5). These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already been with us when you visit our site again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined time. (The data processed by cookies is required for the purposes mentioned above to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Most browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that a message always appears before a new cookie is created. However, completely deactivating cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.

6. SOCIAL MEDIA PUGINS FROM FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM AND PINTEREST USING THE DOUBLE-CLICK SOLUTION
On our website we use so-called social plugins, “plugins” of the social networks Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. These services are offered by the companies Facebook Inc, Facebook Ireland Limited and Pinterest Inc. In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are integrated into the page by means of a so-called “2-click solution”. This integration ensures that when you call up a page on our website that contains such plugins, no connection is yet established with the servers of Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest. Only when you activate the plugins and thus give your consent to the transfer of data does your browser establish a direct connection to the servers of Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest. The content of the respective plugin is then transmitted directly to your browser by the associated provider and integrated into the page. Through the integration of the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the corresponding provider or are not logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a server of the respective provider and stored there. If you are logged in to one of the social networks, the providers can directly assign the visit to our website to your profile on Facebook or Instagram or Pinterest. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” or “Share” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. The information will also be published on the social network or your account and displayed to your contacts. For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers as well as your rights and settings options for the protection of your privacy, please refer to the providers’ data protection notices. Our online offer contains links to other Internet pages. We have no influence on whether their operators comply with the data protection regulations.

8. PROTECTION OF MINORS
Children and persons under 18 years of age should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request personal data from children, do not collect such data and do not pass it on to third parties.
